MP08E : réplica of a 2/3 scale Formula 1 - powered by Electravia
Outside its air activities, ELECTRAVIA realized the electric propulsion system of a replica of a 2/3 scale Formula 1. The MP08-E project of Team Les Galapiats was inaugurated on May 24th, 2012 in the premises of the main sponsor EXPRESS QUALIT in Grenoble.
Consecration of the project: the Formula 1 MP08-E is going to participate in the Opening Ceremony of the next race "24 h du Mans" !
The team will so share their passion with the public, at first on Friday, June 15th during the Big Parade, before realizing a lap on Saturday, June 16th, a few hours only before departure of the race.

Team Les Galapiats
Since 1964, Team les Galapiats, association for the development of children manual labor and driving, welcomes, within the framework of their leisure activities, young people from 10 to 16 years old. They wish to quench their passion of the automobile by the construction, then learning of driving, the retorts of 2/3 scale racing cars. The frame is assured by volunteers. The educational project of the association leans on the development of the skills of the child through the initiation into the various implemented techniques for the construction of cars. The objective is to awaken their curiosity and to stimulate their intelligence to incite them to elaborate a project and to lead it to its term, in an environment where the life of group and the respect for others are systematically privileged. The adventure of the Galapiats always remain, through years, a unique experience.
Why an electric Formula 1 replica ?
Because one of the missions of the association is to anchor the passion of the child in the reality of the world in which he lives, the Galapiats cannot ignore the evolution of the environmental, economic and technological context. But this project of electric prototype arose at first from the will of the children. After a first successful experience of design and construction of an electric vehicle, they wish to go farther to this technology. So, they imagined to develop one of their gas power-driven car in an electric prototype with equivalent performances. An ambitious project !
